Filming and such

We have filmed (hopefully) all of our exterior b-roll and have had our first 2 shoots. Yesterday we went to Purity and did the 12 scoop ice cream challenge. I was pretty skeptical about what we were doing and filming while we were there, and i thought that this project was never going. Afterwards though, the group talked about everything and how we could edit it all together, and that made me feel much better about what we had done, even though I know this is going to be the weakest part of the project.

Today we went to Rogan's, where I thought things went a better. We had more people there to help us, which is always great, but I also think us after the first day, we went in with a better understanding of what we were going to need and how we were going to get it. We had some trouble with the boom, so I am a little nervous about the audio, but lavs and camera mics as back-ups, so hopefully it turned out okay.

I definietly think our weakness right now, with both of our shoots, is lighting. I think for the next two, we can hopefully find someone who can help us with that.

We have had one setback so far with Crespella closing, so we are trying to figure something out for the breakfast challenge. We had discussed Waffle Frolic, but I spoke with one of owners the other day and she said they usually charge for filming time, as well as charging us for the food, so I think we need to find someplace else, and really need to get going on that.

Moving Along

We have contacted all of the restaurants we want to use in our food challenges and have filming dates for three of the four restaurants. We have our host and just need to work our all of the dates with him, and I believe that we have 3 contestants, we just need to double check their schedules to make sure the can do the dates we have chosen. One of the dates we are supposed to film is this Thursday so we really need to start finalizing everything for that date. we still need to figure out what we are actually going to shoot, where everything is going to be set up, who we need to be there, and what equipment we are going use. So basically, we still have a lot to do. But I am pretty confident that everything is going to work and will be successful.
